We're Redditors with a passion for warships, gaming and the World of Warships video game on PC. Its also possible that the dispersion and sigma are the same horizontally and vertically but for a circle transformed into another shape by the angle of interaction with the plane (read as water) that the projectiles hit. Please mark leaks with spoiler tags, like this: Smolensk is balanced!. This has been done by various different people resulting in images like this one on the wiki made by someone on this forum: Sigma has something to do with the dispersion of the shells in the pattern which is important but its possible there are multiple values that have not been found yet that also effect accuracy.Īt this point the best way to determine accuracy is to fire a ship at a target in game and plot the splashes using imageJ or something similar. The dispersion likely is the horizontal radius that marks the area 50% of the shells will land inside and the listed value is for max range which changes for different ships and we have no idea how it changes with range. People can argue dispersion, sigma, range, mods, etc but we really have little idea how they interact. Of those the Nagato, Konig, and Yamato are very consistent for me and reliably deal damage.Īrguing accuracy is kind of laughable right now because we know so little about what makes ships accurate its basically personal experience. BBs that are extremely accurate for me are: Ark Beta (with accuracy mod), Konig, Warspite, Nagato, Amagi, Yamato.
